Apparently, being the underdog is just where the LRCS  Hornets' boys basketball team wanted to be.
After receiving the #6 seed the Hornets proceeded to upset three higher-seeded teams en route to becoming the 2008 MACS State Tournament champions. Three players received individual awards for their efforts during the tournament. Jacob Jensen and Austen Ellstrom were named to the all-tournament team, and guard Levi Skog was given the honor of tournament MVP. Jacob Jensen was also named to the all-conference team. Congratulations to coach Miller, coach Buldoc and the entire team on job well done. The Hornets will now be heading south to participate in the national AACS tournament held in Kansas City, Missouri.
